We run this as a bespoke trip when we have 8 or more people wanting to do the trip.
Slow estuary wildlife spotting trip. Salcombe is a hive of stunning wildlife including, birds, mammals, plankton and history.
The trip includes using our aquascopes so you can see the sea bed and stay dry.
We do plankton trawling and magnification so you can see what makes up the diverse composition of our estuaries.
Our binoculars are always on hand to see at close quarters the marine birds and estuary of which we are very proud to show off to you.
We regularly see jellyfish, grey mullet, bass, oyster catchers, cormorants, shags, gulls, curlews, egrets, herons, and occasionally seals in the harbour.
We go up as far as the main entrance to Salcombe harbour, just past South Sands and go all the way up to the north end of The Bag where we also see an old wreck and lots of fantastic old and new boats.
We provide full waterproofs and lifejackets for everyone. Suitable for all ages.
