RYA Powerboat Level Two Training Certificate (Level 2)
The RYA Powerboat level 2 training course is a two day powerboating course and is considered as the powerboat boat driving license. Taught onboard our 6 metre rib that is an exciting and very comfortable offshore boat, we can also train you on your own boat if preferred.
This course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive and handle a powerboat confidently both in the harbour and at speed and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence (ICC).
We are an RYA approved advanced powerboat training school based in Salcombe and Dartmouth and offer this course from both locations.
We have the experience to train you in all aspects of powerboats and our instructors have over 28 years of experience around all types of boats and teaching and are all highly trained and motivated to teach you in areas including;
- Preparation of the boat and crew
- safety equipment
- Leaving and coming along side pontoons
- moorings, small confined areas and other boats
- pilotage
- chart work and navigation
- rope work
- anchor work
- transits
- collision regulations
- launching and recovery
- boat and engine types and maintenance
- Gps and its use
- high speed manoeuvre
- plaining and man over board procedures and practice.
Things to bring with you:
Warm cloths (We can provide waterproofs) Sun cream/ sunblock for when we are on the water/passport sized photo.
Our course prices are £270 per person but if you can book three people for a complete course our price is £200 per person. All cours prices include your certificate and the RYA Start powerboating handbook.
